See, Smell and Taste the Season

October is the first full month of fall, so what better time to incorporate the sights, smells and tastes of the season into your wedding? Decorate your venue and reception hall with warm, fall-inspired colors, such as wine red, gold, yellow and orange. Use fall flowers in your bouquet, and wrap them up with a hand-tied ribbon that matches your color scheme. Use cinnamon, pumpkin or other fall-scented candles in your reception centerpieces, and surround them with faux leaves, miniature pumpkins or gourds.

Spice cake or pumpkin cake is perfect for treating your guests to during the reception, and consider toasting with a hard apple cider in lieu of the traditional champagne.
